Like I have mentioned many times before, I believe the World Scout Jamboree is all about the people you meet, and the experience you get to share with them. This fact has been a common theme throughout the past two days. I have decided to spend a lot of my time patch and neckerchief trading, not only because I love collecting patches from all over the world, but because I get to meet tons of amazing people by doing it! I constantly find myself telling others that I am “going to walk over to Australia, and maybe visit Spain on the way. I’ll be back in an hour”: A sentence I never thought I would say unironically until now. The slogan of the World Jamboree is unlocking a new world. I think that is an understatement. Not only has this event shown me first hand that we are all interconnected as one planet, but it as also let me witness the many unique characteristics between peoples. It isn’t something you could ever get anywhere else. Instead of unlocking a new world, I have unlocked many.

Some other activities I have been up to for the past couple of days include my first base camp bash at C camp! (See picture below). The music and activities there weren’t my style, but I still has a blast with the other ambassadors as well walked around and watched the sunset next to the hilltop logo for the Summit itself.

I also got the opportunity today to do the space themed escape room within the GLOBE leadership training center. I don’t have any photos to show you now, but check out my YouTube channel (Zytopian) after the jamboree to see the whole thing on video! Would definitely recommend swinging on by! I actually got to experience it not only with Mario, the global ambassador from Hungary, but also with the 3 members of the planning team for the 25th World Scout Jamboree in South Korea! Apparently they have been staying here at Summit experiencing the many activities to get ideas for their upcoming jamboree in 2023. Maybe I can go there as a IST? Only time will tell. One thing is for sure though, The 25th World Scout Jamboree is going to spread the global scouting movement to even more people, and maybe they will get a similar incredible experience there as well! Good luck to the planning team!
