The Code of Conduct is provided in the 2019 World Scout Jamboree app – Guidebook – Code of Conduct.

Unfortunately, there have been reports of Scouts and Leaders being rude and using inappropriate language to the transportation drivers and others. For these situations, we need to remind ourselves of the part of the Code of Conduct that says “I will avoid serious behavior issues including dishonesty, fighting, and bad language.”

What helps us all is to remember what the founder of our Scouting Movement, Lord Baden-Powell, has said:

“A Scout smiles and whistles under all circumstances.”
“The real way to give happiness is to give it to others.”
“There is no teaching to compare with example.”

These quotes ought to inspire all of us to exhibit tolerance and patience here at the Jamboree. Greet the transportation drivers with a cheerful “hello,” thank them when you get to your destination and wish them a good day. Do not limit this attitude to bus drivers, also include all other people here at the Jamboree.
