Hello everybody!

Today I woke up at 6.45, because I had an interview for Finland’s national radio channel. If you understand finnish, I think you can listen that from Yle Areena. There I tell also something about life at the Jamboree. But in the morning when I woke up, I was suprised how beautiful the campsite was. The tents were covered in mist, and it really made a peaceful atmosphere. It was super relaxing to walk down the road and just breathe the humid morning air.

After breakfast we went to this Global Development Village, where they had all different kinds of stands, where you could do different kinds of activities. They were about different subjects, for example about peace and enviroment. My favorite one was this speech where the speaker told us about this conservation program, where people clean up the shorelines. The speech was really inspiring, and even though I already knew much about the subject, I still learned a lot. He had this saying that I really liked: “Reduce, reuse, recycle”. I think it summarises the idea of recycling perfectly!

At evening, a friend of mine from Canada came to eat with my subcamp. It was really nice to change experiences about our home countries and about Jamboree. I was super surprised, when she said that USA has quite many differences comparing to Canada. We had really great time with her and it was so nice to get to know her better!

After the dinner the sun went down and the camp became so peaceful again. This breathtakenly beautiful landscape of the tent city will always delight me. I think I’m going to remember this view forever.
