Rainbow Cafe & LGBTQ+ Community in Scouting
All members of the Scouting movement are a worldwide family who, together, strive for peace and equality across the globe. The example we set here at the World Scout Jamboree has the power to make resounding change in every corner of the globe.
The Rainbow Cafes located at World Point and at base-camp Echo are great examples of the inclusivity of the Scouting movement. These spaces are available for participants, leaders, and visitors at the World Scout Jamboree who support or are a part of the LGBT+ community. Anyone can go to learn about the LGBT+ community, and take part in the workshops, meetings, and games run by the International Service Team.
“A Scout is a friend to all and a brother to every other Scout”. This quote comes directly from the Scout law that every member worldwide agrees to abide by when joining our community. The acceptance of all people regardless of sexual orientation is embedded in the foundation of our movement, and is reflected by the resounding atmosphere of love and acceptance here at the World Scout Jamboree.
