Quite an ambassador day
Remember saying that in the orientation we signed up for some special activities? Well today i went with other ambassadors to the water reality really early, something only ambassadors get to do. It may sound not really fun but you don’t have to wait in line and you can easily do another adventure activity later.
So i woke up at 6:20 to get ready for the day. No breakfast, no unit member awake, just me, my cold tent and backpack. The first though I had when I woke up was “what am i doing?”. It was early, i was cold, fog covered everything and i was about to swim in a lake. We met up with other ambassadors to take the walk together but we still thought we were crazy for doing that. Luckily the water was warm and nice and the course was really good (a bit difficult but we made it on time).
Then I got to go to the canopy tour with my troop wich was really exciting and we also got to eat crickets (they are actually really nice) before heading back to cook. Today was exchange day so Giuliana from Guatemala came over for dinner and we had a great time. We talked about life in our countries, school, scouts , religions and tasted traditional sweets. The day ended with a base camp bash, where a really nice band played original and widely known songs.
