The first day, in the eyes of Elsa Backenfall:

I don’t really know what I’m feeling, if I’m nervous, afraid or fascinated. The one thing that I do know is that I’ve never been this excited about anything in my entire life. The thought of so many scouts being gathered in one place at the same time is amazing. The different uniforms from each country and different cultures being mixed in the blink of an eye is mesmerizing.

The jamboree is a place of celebration and appreciation, the opening ceremony for example, there was color bombs in the shape of fireworks and drones creating images of different activities and writing adventure in different languages in the evening sky had everyone amazed. This really pumped everybody up, getting a taste of the amazing jamboree spirit and what kind of adventure awaits. It felt like a kind of fire was being lit in every scouts heart. A fire which gives you a feeling of home, no matter how far away you are from home scouting is always there and will always be there.

See you later alligator, Elsa.
