Capping off a day of cultural celebrations, the Unity Show invites participants of the Jamboree to unlock the secrets of bringing different people together for a common purpose. Respect, openness, and the courage to share with one another our personal and sacred stories will be put into practice and culminate in cherished sense of fellowship often felt when gathered around the campfire.

Basecamp Bashes

On evenings where there is no Stadium Show, the action comes to the base camps for a spectacular, high-energy experience, that is one-part concert / one-part dance-party, with enough energy, diversity, and fun to rival any single other jamboree event. Youth from all National Scout Organizations are invited to be a part of these new festival-like events.

Basecamp Bashes pump music through a massive sound system, and all the on-stage action is captured live by cameras and shown on big screen videoboards – everyone in the camp is going to see and hear all the action!. Speaking of action, be sure look above your head for the shots of our t-shirt cannons, launching WSJ2019 swag into the crowd, delivered to you by the Rover Brigade out and about in the audience! Lights, friends, fellowship…you won’t want to miss the Base Camp Bashes!

How to prepare for the Basecamp Bash:

  • Dress for the weather
  • Bring your own hydration
  • No food will be available
  • See your subcamp bulletins for more detailed information
  • IST/Contingent Leaders welcome – feel free to bring a small camp chair
