International Service Team Check-In
IST arriving via shuttle or personal vehicles will check-in at the JW & Hazel Ruby WV Welcome Center located at 55 Hazel Ruby Lane in Mt. Hope, WV.
The first official check-in day for IST is Thursday 18 July 2019. Please be aware that official transportation does not begin until 17 July.

IST arriving prior to 18 July 2019 must be deemed as essential to their job assignment area and have been invited by their team leads to arrive early. Any IST that is arriving early will need to be preapproved by their team lead before being allowed to check in. IST that arrive early without prior clearance from their team lead will be subject to an additional early per day charge of $40. This will be due at the time of check-in.
An IST Experience Volunteer will greet all IST to assist them through the check-in process.
The registration greeter will check the IST registration record to see if all check-in criteria for the IST has been completed. The check-in process will vary per person depending on if all criteria are met in advance.
IST members must have completed the following prior to proceeding to registration HQ:
- Public Health questionnaire (completed at check-in)–Each IST member will be required to complete a health questionnaire pertaining to any recent illnesses that may have arisen during travel followed by the opportunity to let us know about any changes in your health status since submitting your personal Health History.
- Proof of completion of Safe from Harm Training: All adults age 18 and older are required to complete Safe from Harm training before they will be admitted to the jamboree. You must print a certificate at the end of Safe from Harm training modules. Be ready to show your certificate to expedite your registration process so you can receive your credential at the WSJ.
It is highly recommended that you complete the training before arriving at the jamboree.
It is strongly suggested that you complete Safe from Harm training prior to your arrival on site for the 24th World Scout Jamboree, as the training takes 2 or more hours to complete. To complete your Safe from Harm training, go to:

If you have completed Safe from Harm, you will need to bring a copy of your certificate showing completion of the Safe from Harm course for the 24th World Scout Jamboree.
Any IST that have not completed the training will be required to complete it at the Ruby Welcome Center before being allowed to complete the check-in process.
- Health History form completed.
- All fees paid in full.
- All outstanding fees are to be paid in full at the payment kiosk via credit or debit card only. Upon final payment of fees, the Registration IST person will initial/stamp the check-in sheet indicating clearance to proceed with check-in.
- For all outstanding IST balances that arise due to NSO transfers rather than individual payments, the HOC or NSO Representative must be present to pay the fees in full at the time of check-in.
- For all individual payments, any outstanding balance must be paid in full by the individual at the time of check-in.
- All outstanding fees are to be paid in full at the payment kiosk via credit or debit card only. Upon final payment of fees, the Registration IST person will initial/stamp the check-in sheet indicating clearance to proceed with check-in.
Once all criteria are completed, IST will proceed to Registration HQ to pick up their WSJ credentials.
Once checked-in, IST members will collect their luggage and gear and board shuttle buses that will transport them to the Summit Bechtel Reserve site.
