Favorite scouting experience: My favorite experience or event as a scout is the silent campfire after the fire ceremony that takes place last night of camp… After the parents, friends, and invited commissioners to leave, the tiered scouts sit all with the fire, they look back at the camp like it was a dream, however, they acknowledge that it is a dream they shall never forget. As they become one with the fire that seems so very alive.
What are you most excited about for the 2019 World Scout Jamboree? I have heard that at all World Scout Jamborees happens a “”Scout Promise Ceremony”” where everyone would be saying the scout promise in their own language at the same time. The whole jamboree would be saying all different things and yet in somewhat way, everyone is saying the same thing. Such moments go to symbolize the diversity and unity of our scouting movement and that is what I most look forward to in the jamboree.

Why do you want to serve as a Global Ambassador? I was at the 1st DESMOS International Camp in Cyprus when the Lebanese Contingent, along with other Arab contingents were chanting and singing and being relatively loud… I noticed one of the Russian Chiefs reading a book nearby… I couldn’t but ask her, how she could manage to read alongside all the noise, and that’s what she replied: “”I could sit in my tent, close the door and read alone, but I’m in Cyprus, at the 1st DESMOS camp, and I want to enjoy every second of it.”” It was at that moment where I realized the significance of such international scouting events. However not all scouts are capable of living such experiences, as a matter of fact, less than 0.09% of the 50m international scout population is capable of attending our jamboree and that is mostly for non-scouting reasons. I believe that everyone deserves to get a hint of that perspective, the experience that none of us will ever forget. And that is my attempt towards contributing to that belief of mine, as I try to share my experiences with those who were incapable of having their own.
What countries would you like to meet scouts from? I’d like to meet scouts from everywhere, I want to meet scouts from countries I have never seen being represented before… i.e. Japan, India, Brazil, South Africa, Australia.

Favorite scouting experience: My favorite experience as a scout is summer camp because it makes the bond between troop members stronger than ever. This year’s summer camp was my favorite. I got closer to the members of my patrol who now feel like family to me. I will never forget the long hikes we went on, discovering nature and its wonders. I will always get shivers down my spine every time i remember the cold nights we spent singing by the campfire. To me, summer camp is just… magical.
What are you most excited about for the 2019 World Scout Jamboree? I’m most excited about camping in another country, which is something I’ve never done before. As well as meeting new people and learning about their cultures.
Why do you want to serve as a Global Ambassador? I want to serve as a GA because I love storytelling. I also feel the need to tell people back home about this amazing experience in order to immortalize what it felt like to be at the 24th world scout jamboree
What countries would you like to meet scouts from? I really would like to meet scouts from japan since I find their culture really fascinating and different from mine. I’d like to hear about their scouting experience and what it was like to host the previous WSJ
