Favorite scouting experience: My favorite experience in Scouts would definitely have to be my first Venture campfire! Campfires are one of my favorite things about Scouts. It’s impossible not to be smiling when everyone is chanting, singing, dancing and creating such a happy atmosphere. This was our first camp as a WSJ troop and a fantastic way to get to know each other. Venture campfire songs are much funnier than scout songs and it was great to let loose and get comfortable with each other!
What are you most excited about for the 2019 World Scout Jamboree? This answer changes everyday for me… one of the things I am most looking forward to is meeting other troops while travelling. We won’t have to ask each other who we are, or where we are going, but we will just know by their uniform and neckers! Even if it is just passing by each other’s busses, or catching a glimpse of them in the airport, this will be our first taste of the Jamboree. I also can’t wait to smell the sweet West Virginia air 🙂
Why do you want to serve as a Global Ambassador? The idea of having such a big responsibility at the Jamboree made me nervous but also really excited! I’m really looking forward to capturing the Jamboree experience through pictures and words but I’m also very excited to share Ireland’s culture while learning about new ones.

Favorite scouting experience: My favourite scouting experience was when my troop travelled to Kanderstag International Scout Centre for our 2017 summer camp. It was my troops first time traveling abroad and we were all very excited (especially the leaders). We flew into Zurich and then took the train to Kanderstag. when we arrived on site we were greeted by scouts from all around the world and we had a great time exchanging cultural and scouting traditions aswell as trading a couple neckers.
What are you most excited about for the 2019 World Scout Jamboree? I’m excited to meet new people and make new friends from all over the world. I believe that the best part of scouting is the connections and memories you make so I can’t wait to make more with new people in the the beautiful surroundings of the Jamboree.
Why do you want to serve as a Global Ambassador?
I want to serve as a Global Ambassador at the jamboree so that I can share my story and represent Ireland a country am proud to be from. I’m also interested in journalism and media management which are two things I will experience first hand as a Global Ambassador for the Jamboree.
