Michael Surbaugh, Chief Scout Executive of the Boy Scouts of America, encourages participants to see and do everything while on-site at the World Scout Jamboree! On 23 July 2019, Michael Surbaugh was outside The Scott Visitor Center, talking to participants and getting to know them. One participant asked for his advice on activities to attend.

Michael said that they should see and do everything at The Summit Bechtel Reserve. Participants have a unique opportunity to meet new people from all over the world and learn about their cultures. The Summit also has one of the best climbing experiences in the world, some of the largest mountain-biking areas, and water rafting on the New River! He specifically mentioned that his favorite activity is mountain-biking – so maybe you will be able to meet him there! His recommendation: get out there and live the jamboree experience!
