An hour before the Unity Show started, the AT&T Summit Stadium was already half-full. The drone show during the Opening Ceremony amazed the public so much that people were expecting an even bigger spectacle for the Unity Show. From 19:00 to 20:00, scouts were trying to guess what would happen and entertaining each other. Scouts danced to anything that was playing, sometimes by “flossing” or doing the Macarena.

Troop 241 from the United States thought Bear Grylls would show up again, while troop 058 hoped for another drone show and more youth participation. Meanwhile, troop 001 from Egypt guessed there would be another percussion band and more drones. Troop 126 from the United States hoped to hear interesting music from different countries and become unified through music.

The Unity Show started with a beautiful presentation of Mexican culture from the delegation of Mexico and a show from the band Mariachi Estrellas de Boston. A video presenting the Scouts from Mexico was played and then the three hosts of the show invited Joe Candillo to go on-stage.

Joe Candillo conducted a long show of religions, where he talked about his faith as a member of the Pascua Yaqui Tribe of Arizona and invited scouts from different faiths to share their beliefs as well. As scouts from a variety of religions and lifestyles shared, some guests participated too, such as Jim Justice, the Governor of West Virginia. Ending the first hour of the Unity Show, United Nations Youth Envoy Jayathma Wickramanayake gave a speech on preventing wars and conflicts, encouraging scouts to change the world and make it a better place for living.

After almost an hour of the beliefs presentations, scouts were surprised by an amazing show from Broadway. Kissy Simmons, the original Nala, Ashley Brown, the original Mary Poppins, Alton Fitzgerald White, who plays Mufasa, and Josh Strickland, the original Tarzan, entertained the crowd with the show “Broadway sings Disney”. Songs from The Lion King, Beauty and the Beast, Tarzan, Mary Poppins, Newsies, The Little Mermaid, Alladin and Frozen made thousands of scouts get up on their feet to dance and sing along.

The show ended too soon for scouts, who kept chanting “one more song!” as the Broadway singers said their goodbyes. Right after that, the hosts gave Jamboree neckerchiefs to the singers and their band and concluded the Unity Show.
