Thank you to everyone who participated in or staffed the 24th World Scout Jamboree study visit, 21 -24 July 2017.

We are proud to have served 70 participants from almost 20 NSOs; Tico Perez, former National Commissioner of BSA, chaired our staff of 12.

Although we headquartered in Charleston, West Virginia, we toured Summit Bechtel Reserve during the BSA’s 2017 National Scout Jamboree.  We saw the camp in action and had interactive discussions to address questions and concerns from attendees.

The tours included Summit Center and the exhibit areas, base camp sites, adventure areas, and lunch at the BSA version of a food house. A celebratory supper at Perry Park included interactions with BSA executive board members and a beautiful view of the Jamboree site.

The next opportunity for NSO members to visit Summit Bechtel Reserve will be 12-15 April 2018, during the first official Head of Contingent Meeting.  We plan to headquarter at The Resort at Glade Springs, located in Daniels, WV.  The Head of Contingent Meeting will include a tour of the Summit Bechtel Reserve, the site of the 24th World Scout Jamboree, as well as informational presentations and opportunities for questions.  Additional details will be available in September 2017.
