Small Deeds; Big Impact

The Nano App premiered during our opening show. It is our legacy gift of the World Scout Jamboree that the world can use on a global scale for years to come.

Your participation in the #ScoutsRecycle nano task measured the metric tons of avoided CO2 equivalent emissions from the landfills. We are happy to report that together, we prevented 228 metric tons of avoided equivalent emissions from the land fill. You removed 590 cars from the roads for one month.

The August 1st Second Place Winner is Olof Pantzar;  the First Place Winner is Vicente Padilla. We are pleased to establish the Nano Sustainability Impact Measurement Scholarship by rewarding Matthew Seaver with a $500 scholarship for completing the most #ScoutsRecycle nano tasks and achieving the largest carbon reduction during our time here at the Summit Bechtel Reserve.

While we all come from different countries, we call the same Planet Earth our home. It’s up to us as Scouts to lead the global charge for sustainable development. Use Nano in your local communities and invite 4-5 other friends to download Nano [1] – and together let’s create a sustainable future for Planet Earth. Thank you!
