Meet the President of Rotary International

On Wednesday, 31 July, Rotary International President Mark Maloney will be visiting the World Scout Jamboree, the first time a Rotary International President has done so.

Mark’s visit is being co-hosted by Rotary District 7545 of West Virginia and the International Fellowship of Scouting Rotarians. During the visit Mark will meet with Interactors at 10:00 am in the Legacy Village reception tent. All Scouts who are active in an Interact Club are invited to meet with Mark during this time. There is no charge for attendance at this event.

At 1:00 pm, Mark will meet with Rotarians and Rotaractors in the World Point Reception tent at the foot of the stairs from Jack Furst Drive. This event will include light refreshments along with a souvenir patch of this first ever event. Tickets can be purchased at one of three locations: Echo Base Camp headquarters, the Rotary exhibit in the Global Development Village and at the Gateway Information booth. The $10 ticket fee is intended to offset the cost of refreshments and the souvenir patch.

This is a unique opportunity to meet and hear from a Rotary International President “up close and personal” at what promises to be a truly international Rotary event. Scouts who are Interactors AND unit leaders, CMT, JPT and IST members who are Rotarians or Rotaractors are encouraged to participate in their respective event.
