Keep Unlocking a New World with Nano!

The 24th World Scout Jamboree may be over, but we can all take the message of this jamboree back home and share them with our fellow Scouts. One of the keys to unlocking a new world is to save the world we have; one tool to help us do that is the new Nano app.

At the start of our jamboree, the World Organization of the Scout Movement announced the launch of a new interactive app designed to engage Scouts and other young people in taking action for the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The app is called Nano and it’s aim is to help Scouts be more environmentally friendly by doing small tasks, earning points, and potentially getting rewards.

The Nano team encourages Scouts from all over the world to be beta testers for the app! Download and use the app, and sign up to be a beta tester on the Nano website (http://experiencenano.com/ [1]). You can help by using the app and giving feedback on what works and doesn’t work. Beta testers will also get updates with new features in the app and more exciting things.

WOSM is encouraging Scouts to integrate the app into their local service projects after the jamboree is over. We encourage you to share this app with your local Scout organizations. It can be through social media, during a unit meeting, or any way you see fit. By sharing this app we all help work towards the Sustainable Development Goals and you become a part of making the world a better place, saving the environment one nano task at a time.

If you want more information on the app you can check out their website at http://experiencenano.com/ [1].
