Introducing Nano

Concerned about your carbon emissions? Troubled by the effect your flight to the WSJ has on the atmosphere? There is now an easy way to offset your impact on the environment! Through the new Nano mobile app, you can offset your own personal carbon emissions by completing small Nano tasks that benefit the planet – such as recycling, donating clothes or eating more plant-based meals.

The Nano app was introduced to Scouting at the opening ceremony of the World Scout Jamboree, where it was announced that Nano was partnering with the World Organization of the Scout Movement. (https://www.scout.org/scouts-nano-app [1]). The Nano team wants to connect with Scouts at the jamboree to get users to beta test the Nano app and give them feedback.

To celebrate the launch of Nano at the jamboree, we’re inviting everyone to download the Nano app and join the #scoutsrecycle challenge. In this challenge, Scouts get points for recycling and have a chance at winning a Nintendo Switch and other cool prizes.

WOSM’s goal is to get more users for the app; not only Scouts here at the jamboree, but Scouts and their friends from all over the world. The Nano app has a great potential – and by getting more people to use it we are saving the planet one nano task at the time.
